"A Chihuahua Mexican Cuate"
Bobby Q · 2026
This oil painting is a contemporary humorous anthropomorphic portrait brimming with attitude. The work brings to life an unforgettable and expressive Chihuahua who commands the scene with an irresistible summer look: aviator sunglasses that lend him a mysterious air and a striking California-style shirt printed with cacti and flowering prickly pears. Here, I play with the contrast between the breed's small and endearing features and an unflappable, confident pose. A painting with a strong personality, created to capture attention and elicit a knowing smile from any viewer thanks to its visual ingenuity.
