"El In-teckel-ectual"
Bobby Q · 2026
"The In-teckel-ectual" is a satirical and endearing portrait that explores the humanization of our pets through contemporary humor. The work presents us with a unique dachshund transformed into an intellectual: adorned in an impeccable, vibrant red turtleneck sweater and round glasses that emphasize his curious gaze. It is not a portrait of a real animal, but rather the creation of a fictional character that plays with the irony of the intellectual pose and the animal's innocence. A piece that combines meticulous painting technique with the spirit of Pop Art to question, with tenderness, the roles and appearances of our own society.
